Best Sea Glass & Pink Sand Beaches In Bermuda
Somebody pinch me. I still can’t believe I just returned from a fabulous voyage to Bermuda. Our ship docked at the historic Royal Naval Dockyard, perched on the island’s breathtaking western edge.
On our first day, we chartered a private catamaran with FantaSea, where our captain, Stephen, whisked us across the turquoise waters to wherever our curiosity led. We snorkeled over crystal-clear reefs, explored the haunting remains of a shipwreck dating back to 1726, searched for sea glass along hidden coves, and cruised effortlessly around the island with Bermuda’s signature cocktail in hand — the legendary Rum Swizzle.
The rest of our days were spent discovering Bermuda’s iconic pink-sand beaches, including the sweeping shores of Horseshoe Bay; the best pink sand beach in Bermuda, and hunting for sea glass at the quiet beauty of Black Bay Beach. We wandered through charming local streets and even paused at a historic cemetery, where weathered headstones tell stories of island life dating back to the early 1800s.
Back at the dockyard, there was no shortage of delights — boutique shops, local rum cakes, and talented artisans crafting beautiful works from glass, clay, and even jewelry made with Bermuda’s delicate pink sand.
These photos are only a glimpse of the magic I experienced. Bermuda has a way of captivating you completely — and if you ever have the chance to visit, you’ll quickly discover it’s impossible to put your camera down.
