Reel Recipe: Ahi Tuna Tower Salad

Soy Dressing

  • 6 eggs

  • 5 cups olive oil

  • 2 cups teriyaki sauce

  • 3 tablespoons fresh ginger

  • ¾ cup white vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

  • ½ cup sesame seeds

  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Blend all ingredients except olive oil until smooth.

  2. While blending, slowly drizzle in the olive oil to emulsify the dressing.

Wasabi Cream Sauce

  • 4 cups sour cream

  • 1 cup wasabi powder

  • 1 cup honey

Instructions:

  1. Whisk together sour cream, wasabi powder, and honey until smooth.

Assembly

  1. Place cooked soba noodles on a plate.

  2. Toss mesclun lettuce in the soy dressing and layer on top of the noodles.

  3. Arrange fried wontons and sesame-encrusted ahi tuna in a layered tower over the lettuce. Use a toothpick to hold the tower in place.

  4. Drizzle with additional soy dressing and wasabi cream for garnish.
